Automotive Parts Services Group virtual national conference and expoInformative panels, industry presentations, a booth show and over 2,000 one-on-one sessions highlighted a very successful Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group) national conference and expo held virtually this week. Over 1,200 members, vendors and associates participated in the week-long event that concluded with an innovative service center show for Federated Car Care, Pronto Smart Choice and Parts Plus Car Care Centers and national account customers.

“We want to thank everyone who participated in our conference and expo,” said Larry Pavey, CEO, Automotive Parts Services Group. “We had a record turnout for this year’s conference and have received very positive feedback, not only about the panels and informational sessions, but also how the event was a productive business-building opportunity for our members and vendors alike.”

Highlights of the conference were special sessions for both members and suppliers, as well as three panel discussions featuring members of The Group, supplier partners and service provider customers. “A big ‘thank you’ to those who participated in the panel discussions,” said Pavey. “Their insights and perspectives were interesting, informative and well received by attendees.”

Industry advocacy was also on the docket. Bill Hanvey, president and CEO of the Auto Care Association and Paul McCarthy, president of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), discussed topics pertinent to attendees, including an update on AWDA and AAPEX, an industry outlook and the latest news related to the “Your Car. Your Data” initiative. Joel Ayres, executive director of the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) shared information about the non-profit’s efforts to provide assistance to industry members in need.

An exclusive concert by county music star Clay Walker was the featured entertainment for conference participants, adding a uniquely fun aspect to the conference.
